Well, I’ve just set a new personal record for tires. I’m now at 142,000 miles (which is also a new personal record. Counting the original set when I bought my base Prerunner truck new, I’m on my fourth set of tires. And, after jumping up to 265/70-16s for a couple sets, I decided to go back the 245/75-16s that the truck came with. Because the 265/70s were quite a bit heavier than the original tires, I took a pretty good gas mileage hit. I can already tell that the ride is improved and quieter. I’m hoping I gain an increase in gas mileage as well.
