It can. Many are "rated or OK for use" there, but good space where it's away from problems can be an issue. Mine is a tight fit, but it's actually got 2" of clearance to any metal part under there.

They've been in there almost 2 years. I took them out for the interior project.
I have a little plug in voltmeter - it truck is running, it drops maybe 3/10 a volt. From around 13.6 with AC and stereo, to 13.3. All my accessories run in the ON and RUN positions. So, I don't just park it and drain the battery being an entertainment center.

My car was a demo vehicle for a stereo shop, so it sat in the garage sometimes. On the road, I'm fine in the daytime but at night, with headlights on it will stall out. I replace all under the hood grounds with 4 gauge. The Amp itself had 2 gauge ground connected to a 24 kt ground block. I didn't want to add a second battery or a bigger alternator. Shortly after I got rid of the car for something bigger.

Well, let's review.... Thursday through Saturday....

Sunday & Monday..... results! Introducing the LLC LBR (Luxury Leather & Carpet)!! :taco::yes::woot:

Believe me, a Readers Digest of the work. I ordered my Clazzio covers in December, they came in April. I got the carpet from Stock Interiors (.com), and the floor mats were the only "black" ones I could find on EBay, after the cheap mat fiasco. I thought red TRD would be cool - the dealer said that is "black" - only "black" they offered. I quit arguing. Some more trim work to do, but I almost finished being a upholstery shop!

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gals! Thanks for the kind words! I'm liking it. It's like a new truck! :D
Some trim up to do today, and put "stuff" back in the cubbies. I'm sore! I'm stiff! My hands hurt! :sadviolin:
I'll bet I'll feel better when I get to drive it on some work errands though.

Holy cra**y... it was over 70 yesterday and it's snowing today. Big d**n flakes. The hummingbirds and orioles showed up a week ago and now they are sitting close to the feeders with their feathers all ruffled to stay warm and wishing they'd waited a couple of weeks. Glad we haven't planted tomatoes yet.

Orioles showed up yesterday with a couple of em scouting.
Big flock arrived today and are chowing down on the grape jelly and orange halves.
Couple Hummingbirds spotted the last couple days.

    Kurt, the truck looks fantastic!

My latest "wheels" arrived—an enclosed recumbent bicycle.

You don't just sit into it but squeeze into it. Super low wind resistance, so pedal power is getting me up to 25 mph on flat roads. Retirement is a few years off, but the clock is ticking, so trying to remain active and stay in shape. It's hot when I stop moving, and there is enough airflow. Plus, I am not baking in the sunshine, so there is less UV on my skin.

It's about 8' long. The second photo is with the nose cone off, as we are making some adjustments "under the hood."
