Are you bending your tie rods?

Does your LCA have uniballs or bushing?? I know you have the camburg race kit so I assume you have uniballs in there but I could be wrong. If they are bushings its still possible to get deflection in the bushings that can cause the alignment to go out. All I can say is ever since I went with the JDfab LCA with uniballs their pivot kit and sliderack setup my alignment has not moved a bit.

    Too many to remember
Shock tower/upper arm mounts bend, frame bends, tie rods bend, rack bushings move... these little trucks can’t handle the abuse

Best answers yet. I beat my truck, get on the highway, pulls right, back in the dirt for more beating, highway, pulls left. One more dirt shot before home and it's straight.

As far as I've seen, inners will typically bend in 2 places.
    1. In the middle
    2. Right at the joint where the shaft narrows down

One way to check for a slight bend is by loosening up the jam nut and spinning the inner with a wrench, any visible runout/wobbling is enough to throw out an alignment.

Thanks for all of the responses guys!

From what I could tell the bushings did look ok. Maybe the verdict could just be that the bushings moved which threw the steering wheel off... I'm just not sure how to properly gauge that.

    The lowers do have uniballs.

    Good ol' dirt alignment.

Thanks for the video. I have billet tie rods so they are not stock anymore. Plus I haven't really pushed my truck hard enough to even see bending them.

I put a whole new rack in mine, got it aligned and it wandered a TON. Replaced with worn poly ones and instantly went away. start the truck, and look at it as you turn, itll be obvious if its the rack bushings

Stock rack? Poly or rubber bushings? You can try to swap out to delrin bushings if its an issue. I replaced poly bushings 3 times in 2 years or so before going to delrin, poly wasn't holding up to 37s for me.

Where did you get delrin bushings from?

Hmm maybe i'll look into that. Polyurethane ones aren't exactly ideal cause the poly will deform from the beating over time as you seem to have figured out yourself. No idea why people get so obsessed with replacing every bushing ever with it. Car guy's are worse with it

Thanks for the tip. I'll have to give that a try to see what they do.

Stock rack with stock bushings. Delrin definitely sounds like the way to go. Might have to settle with poly though until I am able to make a set of delrin ones.

@XPOTRPR what would it take to make a set of Delrin steering rack bushings based off some Poly ones?

Because poly doesn't give as much feedback and overall makes the ride experience better. Poly absorbs vibrations, etc where Delrin or harder materials will not.

No, it’s 100% possible and actually very common. Used to knock mine over a tooth all the time.

Yup mines off at least a tooth
Or more. Can physically turn more passenger than driver. Plus I’ve had steering angle codes since that rock.

It wouldn't surprise me if he is. Once it starts happening it progressively gets worse and worse and easier to skip. On 35's I could barely go out and come back with a straight wheel. But then I learned how to smash the next bump to straighten it.
