Glad it turned out that way, good people deserve good karma. Can't have enough good trail karma...

    Congrats buddy!

Say goodbye to what little ride time you might have been getting.

By the time you’ll be ready for a shotgun seat, mine will be too big for the one I have. I’ll cut you a bro deal

    Yeah.
    Congrats!

I kinda took a break from MTB when my girls were young. Eight years later, I met some guys from work and realized how much had changed. My once better-than-average bike was quite outdated.

    I haven’t touched my bike in 2022 sadly….

this is partially the reason. The main one being that I’m being held to have the master suite remodel done before kiddo arrives in November…

Congrats! My daughter will be 4 months this week, but my wife is a saint and I still get to hit the trails once a week. On the days she wants to ride with me the grandparents keep the baby for a few hours. I consider myself pretty lucky in that regard!

Cleaned up my Marlin 7 yesterday. I love this hardtail, but I'm really wanting to move into a full suspension. I had planned to keep it and just add a full squish next year, but maybe it's time to sell and use that money to upgrade or find someone who wants a nicely modded hardtail and cash. Babies aren't cheap, so not sure I can justify keeping it, my wife's hardtail, and getting a new bike! Might list it in some MTB groups for trade soon..

Here are a few of the upgrades I've done in case any fellow Marlin riders need any info!

    2019 Trek Marlin 7 Slate Large 19.5
MicroShift Advent X 1x10 clutched drivetrain
PNW Ridge Dropper Post internally routed
    PNW Puget Dropper Lever
    PNW Range Handlebars 800mm
PNW Range Gen 3 Stem 40mm
    Stamp 1 flat pedals
    ODI Rouge Lock On Grips
    WTB Speed Saddle
    Wolf Tooth seat post clamp
Granite Juicy Nipple presta valve caps
    RaceFace chain stay protector
    ProBikeTool aluminum bottle cage
180mm rotors with Shimano adapters front and rear
    Shimano FC-M361 crankset 175mm
    32-T oval chain ring
    29x2.20 tires front and rear
RockShox XC30 fork with RockShox mud guard

    Yeah.
I thought people up there just ride in the rain. Otherwise, you might never ride.

Suit up for the elements and send it.. you gonna have your bike or rent one? I rented from Fairhaven bikes was pretty reasonable...
