I was in same boat as you last year. Placed my $500 deposit in March on a 2022. Was able to actually place order on Jul 9th. Got Allocated on Oct 27th. Got truck Jan 10th.

So if you want a 2023 the ordering process will likely begin in early July if its anything like last yr. But im guessing you will get your 2023 before xmas. Just a guess...

 

Did you take the Predator steps off already?

Dealer also owes you black badges instead of chrome.

 

I went into a dealer yesterday to order an Army Green Offroad and didn't because they said it might end up being a 2023 with a price hike due to the 2023 having rear coil springs and a turbo engine.

Called another dealer that said 2022 model year will carry over to 2023.

Called another dealer that aid they weren't sure about model changes but they have 5 on order and I can get one in 3 months

 

Finally got my pro, here’s some things I noticed upon delivery incase any of you are curious about what yours is gonna be like in Canada cause I know I was.

-No Hood decal
-No black badges on the doors
-No rear parking sonar sensors
-Came with both Carpet and rubber TRD Pro specific mats
-Came with oem tow hitch/ball
-Came with bed cleats
-Came with wheel locks (I believe my dealer just threw those in)
-Came with door sill protectors

Build date is 03/22
Placed deposit 11/21

 

The locking wheel nuts were in my 22 sport when it arrived at the dealer, they installed them and gave me the nuts they took off. They didn't return the nonlocking nuts to me when I picked up my 2020 2.5 yrs ago...I assumed they went to the parts dept and were resold.

 

It was a $60 option on our last vehicle we didn't take but they were installed when we got it. They said they put them on because wheels have been stolen off vehicles . I never checked to see it they used the same type on every vehicle.

 

What tonneau cover is that? Looking great on the truck.

 

My TRD OR Premium is still "In Production" as of yesterday despite all the chatter about cancelled allocations, etc due to the parts shortage. Dropped into the dealer to check in and saw it on his computer for myself. Ordered Feb 7th, ETA is June 11-21 which has never changed. He says that they had some TRD Sport Premiums pulled so they were effected.

 

I did pick up my TRD Pro last week. Dealer basically had me by the balls. They seemed like they would rather not sell it to me for MSRP, so they made it somewhat of a pain to purchase the truck and tried to sneak extra fees and double charges into the deal. I dodged all of that crap and paid what I feel was fair.
My TRD Pro also didn’t come with blacked out badging, or the Tacoma black letters on the tail gate, or the hood decal.
My dealer basically said, too bad, if Toyota didn’t send it that way, then it’s on you to change it.
So I changed it.
There’s a place in town that’s custom making the U.S. topographical hood decal as well.

 

What company is doing the decal for you? Is it just a vinyl/sign shop? I would love to order one!

 

What crap? Over here (Quebec), there are some additional fees like transport, licensing and taxes over MSRP. That’s it. Anything else will be the Toyota extended warranty and other options you could be interested in. None of it is forced on you (maybe the only option they are trying hard to sell would be the warranty).

 

I got my unicorn after all, I love this truck already.


Likewise going to blackout the badges, order/get a hood decal... and find a dog-proof rear seat cover for the copilot.

Seems like everyone in Canada is getting ELG or white TRD pros. Anyone else manage to get a grey or black TRD pro?

 

I have a Magnetic Grey coming. I have seen two other Magnetic Grey 22 Pros in the Kelowna area over the past two weeks. I also saw a black one on the back of a transport truck. No ELM in our area yet - At least from what I’ve seen.

 

I was able to find a black truck near me that I could have taken but it was an auto so decided on the white 6MT.

 

From Southwest Ontario, ordered a TRD OR DCSB Premium in Silver back in Dec 2021 but still no update, the dealer assures me it's allocated which I'm skeptical. Saw a TRD OR premium in lunar rock on the lot last week though, so I have hope they are still producing that spec, but who knows.

 

Yes sir me too, I have the same truck ordered from Feb 7th and the ETA is still June 11 - 21. Do you have an ETA? The status of mine is "In Production" and then the next update will be "Released To Trucking" or something along those lines at which point it's about a week out.
