Have any of you noticed unsolicited product review requests via email?

Scenario: Purchased an item from Home Depot via credit card. No loyalty account. No HD credit card. Just a normal, non HD affiliated card was used. Walked into the store, picked up item, scanned item at front, paid via credit card, then left. Today I get an email asking me to review this item. An email that is not linked to my credit card. Not linked to any Home Depot account. No reasonable explanation for how Home Depot could possibly contact me at this email. Yet here we are, second time this has occurred.

Anyone else notice this? Any ideas how it could happen?

I would be willing to bet there in fact is an email associated with your CC.

Is there an email associated with the card? Yes. Is it this email? No.

I was genuinely hoping for better than the “go grab a tin foil hat” responses haha

Yeah it could be smartphone. If so, that is seriously creepy.
