The wife and I have been wanting to get a vacuum for our vehicles and are wondering what would be some good choices for home use. Looking to keep it on the smaller side as our garage isn't all that big, a 5 gallon shop VAC would be nice but kinda hard to find room for. Not sure how small you can go before the motor starts to not have enough get up and go. Any recommendations on what to look at?

Are you looking for a vacuum to use only on your vehicles? Only on your home? Or to use on both your vehicles and your home?

    I too am confused.

Inside vac: Dyson pet ball unpright. Also, Roomba i7 with self emptying base for daily maintenance.

Shop vac: ancient black and decker from the 80's. on its last legs. will be replacing with any generic shop vac.

    Car/camper/portable: Bissell pet hair eraser.

My wife and I currently have about 6 or 7 vacuums at home. 2 Dysons, 1-2 Bissell, Same for Eureka's and Sharks.
Some would say she's an expert in vacuums.
I would just say she's picky as hell when it comes to them.
Out of all of them she only uses one of them. (yard sale time)
That is one of the Sharks'. The Shark Vertex Pro. It's cordless with a separate charger for the battery. Like a drill.
Very veritable and cleans very well. Rated very high online. You can also research it on Youtube.

I just use our old inside vacuum on the vehicle since we got a new inside vacuum.

Only for the vehicles. Sorry for the confusing title. We already have a Dyson V8 in the house but it seems a bit bulky to be using in a vehicle

I wish I had a car wash narrow nozzle attachment to attach to those bear claw coin operated vacuum heads, lol. I’ve got so many food scraps in areas the bear claw can’t get to.

Pack an inexpensive paint brush (or a detailer’s brush) to sweep all your crumbs into the bear claw. You’ll get good results

I have a Black & Decker "shop vac" that I use. Its inexpensive (less than $100), has wheels, and does a great job. I think its a 3.5 gallon tank.

Rigid 4 Gallon with the car cleaning kit. Probably the best car vacuum you'll find for the money.
