Good luck to you. After what you've been through, I hope it all works out in your favor.

That would be an Fts (field technical specialist). They are there as a technical liaison to the dealership. They have a hand in approving large jobs, but only so far as making sure the dealership techs have used all of their resources and the diagnostic process is followed as well as warranty guidelines have been adhered to.

Wow! My first change in my 21, they put in 1 quart too much. Drove 1500 mile until I checked. They ended up giving me. 100k warranty through Toyota and a 150k warranty through the dealer. I found this to be very fair given no damage was suspected to be done

I was thinking about this situation today, and I would think a good ole fashioned Google review with photos would do some damage. You can show them the draft.

I work at another brand dealership and most reputable dealers would try to take care of you. Let them find you another new Tacoma of your liking and work with them as you are. If you have a current loan on your vehicle take in consideration of your payments made. I believe they will do the right thing.
Just my 2 cents. Yes not all dealers are stealers....

Don't trade for a used one. It may have the same problem as yours. Try for 3 miles or less. Good luck.

Do not sign any kind of Non-Disclosure Agreement about the old truck then send the VIN to Carfax with the note about running on no oil

The correct amount is suppose to be between the 2 fill marks on your dipstick.

Will be telling of their confidence in stating "no significant damage" if they put it on their own lot or send it straight to auction.

If you do end up trading you might put the VIN on here after all is said and done, may help someone avoid a big headache.

That's the way it's been going on for years. ANYTIME you buy a used vehicle you run a risk of inheriting someone else's headache.
Buying new only provides a Warranty still NO guarantee of not getting a lemon. just my .02

Does anyone know if the error codes from the warning light would still be stored? To know exactly what the engine was reporting. This is assuming of course the dealer didn't wipe the history.
