Have seen much praise for the Desert Does It Front Seat Jackers/Spacers for taller drivers to correct the uncomfortable seats in the 2nd/3d gen Tacomas. Today on a Facebook group, someone recommended these RENO Seat Spacers which are exact replicas, but cheaper. Honey says they were as low as $40 a week ago on Amazon, and went up to $50 a few days later. As of today, they are $70, but still cheaper than I could find of any used DDI or alternative on eBay. Not sure what that spookiness is about...

I decided to order a set, and they will arrive soon. Will update once they come in! Anyone else have experience with these?

These are knock offs manufactured in China and infringe on our Patent. Desert Does It is a small business who manufactures in Utah.

We support enthusiasts with original designs and will never attempt to ride on the coat tails of others hard work.

China knock. Offs? Amazon sells the Reno’s front seat spacers for $85.00 prime.

Seat jackers (front) from Desert is listed on Amazon for $104.00 and Rears for $53.00.

Any hardware store for lifting the rear of the front seats just requires a longer bolt, a spacer with a hole to fit, or in stead of spacers , use a stack of S/S washers, or a combo to the height you like?

Too bad China copy cats, get away with exact copies?

These MODS (seat spacers) was a SUPER one for me! My back and legs are more comfortable and you can see better over the hood.
My daughter is only 5 feet tall , looking “over” the driver side rear mirrors was difficult, till she raise her seats with the seat jackers. Now seeing over the driver side rear mirrors is not in the way, ( left hand turns).
    Aloha

I bought the Desert Does It spacers long ago and have since added a number of accessories. Competition is good but not from China knock offs that can undersell anyone as they have removed the very high cost of R&D and usually quality as well. Happy to pay more to an American business and American employees (and probably for a higher quality product as well). I love seeing all of the new products that they're constantly coming up with too, they obviously re-invest in their business and continue to innovate.

There is only one way to change the world, and one way only! If each of us can raise one good child and they in turn can raise one good child, the world will change for the better!

Supporting American companies with this ideal, creating great quality products , will makes us all the better.
    Aloha

Bought a set of seat jackers with molle panel for my driver seat. Installation took all but may be 35 minutes. It feels awesome. I got bad lower back and when purchased my truck from a dealership about 60 mi away from my house after I got home I was in agony. I spend the last month trying to get comfortable, I guess I adjusted somehow. Installed seat jackers for the driver side today and its like seating on a cloud. So much more thigh and leg support. I am 5'9" 265lbs only 1/2 of that is muscles :} Toyota screwed up royally with Tacoma seating. Even my 22 year old Isuzu Rodeo Sport has more comfortable seats. The best one hands down is my Saab 9-5 aero. Saab feels like sitting on a couch. Anyway, thank you desertdoesit for making a high quality product and fixing toyota's screw-up.
PS For anyone who thinks that the price of authentic product ($99) is too steep for an authentic qualify product, think about the cost of a funeral or a long-term ICU stay that you are risking if your cheaply made in China inserts and bolts get sheared up in an accident.

Glad to hear you enjoy the Seat Jackers. $99.00 is a lot of money, and I did both seats , drivers and passengers. Raise the front and rears of both seats.
The additional comforts and support for the back and legs was worth money!
They had a special “Orange “ color made, I almost purchase them, looks so “cool”.
    Aloha

“Yahoo” to those who supports “Desert does it”. Hopefully we will see many other great products from them.

Chinese knock-offs often I find them not a well made products. Always some flaws? Yes! Very cheap.

I bought a set for DDI for my driver seat with mole panel. It did wonders for how my seat feels now. I just ordered a second set of jackers only for my passenger seat. I thought about saving $25 but then decided against it. This is your seat and your life depend on it. I would not trust some cheap stuff made in China. If your seat breaks away in an accident you will loose more than $25. DDI quality is exceptional. Please support American small business.
