I started shaving my head at like 12 years old..and kept it that way until my 40's when I finally grew it out past a half inch..lol

I missed the big hair thing by choice (mostly).

I just turned 18… Looking older helped get me served in high school

 

I was 16 when I graduated high school thanks to being a December baby and NY's rule that you can enroll your child as long as it turned 5 in the calendar year of enrollment.

I kept mine short through high school, otherwise I was afraid my dad would have had a shit fit and kicked my butt to the curb for being a !@#$%^ hippie

After I got out of the Army, I started growing it out, and I was Mr Mullet from 1988 to 2003. It got almost 1/2 way down my back. I finally had one too many hot as hell summers up here, and decided to go back to Army Basic Training short style. So much easier to wash/dry, I haven't owned a comb in almost 20 years, much cooler in summers.....

 

I own a comb, but I cannot abide long hair. It's annoying. I can't imagine having that crap dangling around your face and on your neck all day long.

 

yeah, it was annoying in some aspects. Anytime I was working around my house/yard, I tied it in a pony tail. I will never grow it out again, as I really hate the intermediate length, and it would take mine at least a few *years* to get long again, so high and tight it will stay!
