Wreck my tacoma this last weekend. Just get a new one? I havent even made my first payment.

I fell asleep at the wheel on my way home from working graveyards. Took down a power line with ease though. These are tanks.
Been working 2 weeks straight with the mix of day/night shift.

I did not get hurt in anyway and I did not hurt anyone else thankfully.

    They will fix that, 100%

Please be more considerate to others around you. We don't need excuses. Stop driving tired.

Ouch! Glad to hear you are ok. Not sure if that is totaled or not, but for your sake I hope it is: they are never the same after a hit like that.

Please don't drive when you are that tired in the future.

Yes, your truck is likely totaled since the airbags went off and the bed appears to be bowed. You have far more damage than mine had.

    That'll buff out.

The bad news, the supply chain is awful. I hit a sign with my 4runner on December 7th, front quarter panel crumpled, repaint door edge. I literally just got it back today.

Good ol mid shift. You still in, if so what's your AFSC? On another note, glad you made it out alright that shit looks wild. One of my airmen had a similar thing happen to him on his way home. Rolled his car after falling asleep on his way home from mids.

He didn’t give excuses, he gave a cause. I’ve worked shifts like that and were told to not drive if we’re too tired or sleepy, it can cause accidents.
I really think that wreck was all the advice he needs, your “orders” add no value it’s just a minion outta the woodwork throwing gasoline on a fire.

Fuck that, he can post his fuck up on instagram if he wants sympathy. Delete my posts I don't care. He could have hit someone and he's on here looking for advice.

In my part of the world that would be written off unless you opted for what we call 100% cost coverage insurance which can be a screw-over. In other words you must have so much damage ($) to qualify to be written off (it’s in the fine print that I didn’t see and they don’t tell us if you buy it thinking it’s a good thing)
Insurance company sells it as a good thing but I had a new mini van that had $15000 damage (just short of half the value at the time) and they fixed it. Literally had to cut the AWD van in half and section it back together because it was $1,500 short to qualify to be written off. the body shop said if just one air bag had gone off it would have qualified to be written off.
the van got rear ended while parked by a drunk driver at 50 miles an hour. Put the rear bumper half way into the van.
What’s worse is we traded it in, knowing it was a mess after fixing. I saw it on the ramp being displayed at the GM dealership that we traded it to. Out of curiosity I stopped there one night to look at it. Same VIN. Aftermarket wheels. It was mine. Just for sh#ts and giggles when I asked the salesman if there were any accidents he said “nope, just been traded in and had a real good coat of wax”……..yup that happened……couldn’t believe it.
Sorry to hear about your luck.
Do what you can to have it written off.

As mentioned by other respondents, it’ll never be the same and resell will be impacted

That sucks, dude. At least you're ok and no one got hurt. If/when they fix it, I would highly recommend that you get a top, and next time you have to work messed up shifts like that, you can crash in the truck!

You know, on second thought you can take your attitude to the gram as well.

From someone that has worked shifts/long hours since ‘93, know your limits. I have taken many cat naps in the parking lot before driving home even if it only took 15 minutes to drive home.

Sucks about the truck, but I’m gonna say this is done for. My wife’s taco was less damaged than that and it was a total loss (tree jumped out in front of her in ice).

I would also like to apologize for @Bishop84. He means well, horrible delivery.

Bishops response was pretty polite tbh. I think you may be over reacting. Dude shouldn’t of been driving tired, it’s on the same level as drunk driving with the impairment. Could of hit a pedestrian or went head on with another car.

and to op, the vehicle is probably totaled. Glad you’re ok though.

You are welcomed to voice your opinion.

When people start saying Fuck that, fucking post on the gram to new members…

Now how about I reply to you in the same way? If you think dropping F-Bombs is polite….might wanna read this over.

In wouldn't be mad if they did fix it. However, I don't want to wait.

No one means to wreck and the tiredness came out of nowhere.

3POX1, I seperated back in '11. I used my GI bill to become a radiology technologist.

I'll just sleep with my seat down.

I was pushing my limits. Being low man and wanting to help my co workers.

I didn't mind bishops comments. Some people are blunt.
