Is anyone else excited about the 2023 Sequoia? Same frame as the Land Cruiser, which obviously aren't sold in the US anymore, but regardless, it will have a much more approachable price point. I believe they will start at 50k. The SR5 and limited will have TRD Offroad packages available. I think I can actually sell this one to my wife. It a decent looking truck, the front is not so hot though. One engine option is annoying, but I didn't have a choice with my 3rd gen tacoma either and this new Sequoia has about 2x the power of my underpowered Taco.

Looks good. I wonder what the practical differences between the new Sequoia and Land Cruiser will be, given that they will share the chassis. Maybe it will finally be a way for us to get a lower trim Land Cruiser in the US.

YES, exactly! Well said. The biggest differences IMO are the engine and the interior. The Land Cruiser has always had a very fancy interior (eg. real wood trim, nice supple leather, etc) but the new Capstone trim level might be on par with it. Regarding the motor, Cruisers have been available with awesome turbo diesels in other countries for decades, but mostly V8s in the US. I'm still on the fence about Toyota's move to only offer turbo gas engines for the Trucks in the US. As a former WRX STI racer boi, I'm well aware of the extra wear that turbos put on gas engines. Let's just hope these new Toyota blocks are stronger than Subaru's...especially the gaskets and rings.

I'm a fan of it. Probably won't get one though. Really want to see the 6th gen 4Runner though for the wife
