Hey guys - in all honesty, I know little to nothing about cars from a mechanical/electrical perspective. I just like to camp and do stuff in the mountains, so the Tacoma is ideal for me.

That said, I just purchased this 3rd gen '19 Tacoma that has some slight modification completed by prior owner (lift, different tires, hood, etc).

I have a wire that appears to have come loose and unplugged near the foot area of the driver side near the pedals. For the life of me I cannot figure out 1. what this wire is for and 2. where it plugs in? I drove it this morning and there wasn't anything noticeable. it seems it was taped together with 2 other wires down there and maybe came loose. Is this normal and thoughts on solution as far as where to plug in? Also curious what it actually does. Thanks a ton in advance!

First and foremost I would use a multimeter and check if the wire is hot with the vehicle off and on. If not and the vehicle is running fine and anything wired up aftermarket like LED lights are working correctly I wouldn’t worry too much about it. With your limited knowledge and understanding of electrical all the following steps I would list would probably not be helpful to you. Maybe post up some good pictures of the situation? But like I mentioned I would test it for voltage to rule out any potential damage happening to you or your vehicle.

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
Need more info and a pic we can see.
It COULD be for a brake controller if the truck has a tow package.
