Customer wanted this fitting installed, drill down to 6mm from bore and don’t break through so they can put a heating element in it. Got to checking and it’s a 1/4-19 BSPP thread, thankfully we had a tap.

Friend of mine got hit. Insurance said the frame is bent.

 

Wonder if it bent in front of or behind the rear axle? It doesn't look that bad.

 

I haven't looked at it. He said the insurance called and said the frame and some other stuff was bent.

 

I didn't think it looked that bad either. He's still in the hospital tho.

Do you know if he had a hitch in? I keep my hitch in all the time but I've read on here it seems like if theres a rear collision and a hitch in the receiver, the frame is much more often bent than not bent.

 

Concentric or concintricity is what I'm after.
So when this shaft is finished, both bearing ends along with the diameter that the fan hub attaches will all run true. Zero TIR when run in V-blocks at the bearing locations. The fan is much like a squirrel cage in a household HVAC blower unit except approximately 3 foot diameter 3 foot long..spun up a few hundred RPM's ....I want no shake n shimmy due on my part. It runs probably 24/7/365 this one going on 16 years about. The other 3 even longer. This one seems problem child.

 

Told my boss to ask a guy down the street about this, he has already drilled it, pinned it, and epoxied it. Looks new old stock
