I purchased a silver Tacoma TRD DC, OR 4X4 on February 4th--traded in my 2001 silver DC Tacoma Prerunner with 145K miles. That 2001 was a terrific truck (only oil changes, tire rotations, air filters, spark plugs and the timing belt maintenance). The reliability of that that 2001 certainly influenced my vehicle decision when it was time to trade. Hopefully, I will find the reliability as good with my new Tacoma.

I also owned a 1990 4WD Standard cab Toyota that I traded for a Honda Accord in 1997 (bad move). So, I guess I have been driving Toyota trucks for 18 of the last 21 years. And, unfortunately, I didn't even know about this terrific site until about 2 weeks ago.

I have gotten so many good ideas from reviewing this site. The only ones I have acted on so far are the Weathertechs (grey digital mats on order), OEM bedliner (I picked up yesterday) and the hose clamp tailgate mod (that I put on tonight). I am looking forward to reading, learning, and modifying.

    Glad to be here.

Thanks for the warm welcome fellas. Good to see some fellow Carolina guys on here. And, I appreciate the welcome from Ohio, too. I have taken crews up into Ohio to restore power outages. Well, we stopped in Cincinnati for a couple days (nice town--WKRP merchadise everywhere), then we headed into southern Indiana. Honestly, I thought Indiana was flat land--but southern Indiana had some nice hills and trails. The good thing about restoring electricity is that everybody lets you drive on their trails--they just want their lights back on!

where did you travel in southern indiana? My hometown is bloomington and am familiar with all of the southern portion of the state as I once ran a mobile glass company there.

I was in a town called Corydon. Nice town, and anything but flat. It was really fun when you got off the main roads. Spent about 10 days there during the big ice storm a couple years back--the storm that slammed Kentucky so hard.

Yup corydon. I believe they have a really nice apple festival or dogwood festival there. Not far from home.
The entire southern part of indiana is very nice and quite a few hilly areas. It's not until you get up past indy is where it gets flat.
