The Luxor (pyramid) is a nice place, very clean rooms, decent price and not as run down as some of the hotels. Hard Rock is shot,,well worn. forget Hooters,,its the same also. We stay every year at the Luxor, just because they know us, treat us like kings, it's clean, and good food.

You can check and see if they are running the Stock car rides out at the Vegas Speedway,,strap in and go 160-170 down the back straight;),,if thats your/her kind of thing.

Be prepared to spend some time just getting from the airport to the car rental place, that can take waay to long sometimes.

Run down to Pawn Stars shop and pick up that Musketoon they took in,,I'll pay ya back,,lol:D.

Fremont street is cool for just kicking around. Like someone else posted, the mall at Caesers for shopping.

Take some cash, they can get you for about $5-10 fee for just a ATM withdraw. it adds up.

Budget your time, 2 days is a fast and furious visit.

Ahh gambling, I personally don't do it.
I like winning but hate losing way more.
I understand taking a set amount and stopping when it is gone.
That is considered entertainment to some folks.
$100.00 goes fast playing with the big boys and it hurts me too much to watch it fly away in seconds:(:(.

My wife will play some coin slots but she knows it is just a matter of time till the "play" money is gone.

I stayed at the Luxor the last time I was in Vegas this past September for the Vegas TW meet. I really liked the hotel and its close to everything else around on the strip. But like the others said, drinks can get expensive at the bars and clubs so pre-gaming is always a good idea.;) Other then that, plan on doing a lot of walking if you want to get the full experience on the strip.

We've been here in Vegas for two years (After four years in Bermuda). The only time I go to the strip is when I'm working on one of the casino/hotels.
The best time to be at the Hard Rock is between 6 and 8 am, when the hookers leave and the celebutards wander around wondering where they went.
