@2016-2020 TOYOTA TACOMA RAPTOR STYLE TAIL LIGHTS

I got a set of these today and gotta say I’m disappointed. They are pretty dim for one. But the quality is not there. First like others have mentioned the chips from the molding process are terrible. One light was ok but the other was terrible, like they just snap them out of the mold rather than cutting them cleanly.

Second is the fit. One light fit ok but the passenger side didn’t. There are large gaps and it doesn’t sit flush with the body.

I got a set of knock off TRD pro tail lights from China that are better quality.

I contacted CaliRaised about all this but haven’t heard back yet.

 

i'm rebuilding a salvage truck and got these lights. I just went to a brake & light inspection station for my registration in CA (Riverside) and the guy said these are not DOT approved and he could not find a DOT stamp on them?
is there a cert or any kind of proof i can show that these are dot approved?

Design​

These Toyota Tacoma LED taillights are with four LED tubes as parking light, with red LED in between the light tubes as a brake light and standard blinking turn signal light. The reverse light is located at the bottom and you can apply your stock halogen light bulbs.​

Lens​

Our Toyota Tacoma LED taillights are made of polycarbonate plastic lenses. We also apply a layer of coating to protect the lens against yellowing and oxidation.
