So I have installed a new android based double din head unit in my 2009 tacoma and would like to use the original volume and track controls on the steering wheel.
I see lots of add on units to connect this but would require a wireless remote in the dash and i would prefer to simply plug into the proper connector with the key 1 and key 2 lines coming off of the back of the stereo, does anyone know of where i can get the wiring diagram for which left over connector I need to match to and secondly where I can get the appropriate female plug to match to the required connector?
Thanks, I have been to more stereo install sites than I care to count and hope the community out there has an easier solution than what I have found to this point.

Maestro, assuming you even bought a head unit capable of working with it.

Which android headunit? Most manufacturers of those have the proprietary connectors for sale on their own website. If you didn’t buy it direct, that’s where I’d start.

Again, assuming his unit is even Maestro compatible.

Never heard that, It basically plugs into the wires from the steering wheel controls and that wires right into your head unit straightforward and simple when I got mine installed he told me “sun and sound” that it didn’t matter it’s just gonna go when it’s a simple piece of equipment.
