Might be getting too old for this.
Check with Safelite. I've had to replace a windshield and side window. Probably around $3-400.

That sucks man. Is the slider broken also? What happened?

I bet you'll need to replace the entire rear window.

Thats what I'm afraid of. Slider isn't broke just that one peice. Someone was loading chairs in the bed and slid one in too fast and took out the window. He's offered to pay for it don't worry haha

No amica. I should check with my insurance though. Or maybe AAA offers some sort of deal.

This is what I was quoted back in October when my truck was stolen and the back window was busted out. That was from satellite. There was other damage and I turned it over to a body shop, but that was the going rate to have the back window/slider installed.

Damn. Hopefully they can just do the one panel. The other 2 are fine and the slider still operates completely normally.

Understood, but that's not how it works. The back window is sold as a complete unit. Kinda like the center console... you can't just buy parts... at least not at the dealership. You have to buy the entire thing.

You might be able to find the glass at a salvage yard. Have them pull it, and send it over to a glass installer. I did that on my 2nd gen only cost me about $200 total.

I've heard its much easier to replace the whole rear window. Its actually 3 separate windows but replacing one is a pain in the ass and takes a whole lot longer.

Yes, but at least on the 2nd gen you need 2 people and a long piece of rope. Wrap the rope around the entire piece, drop the window in and slowly pull the rope out to seat the window and keep the seal intact.

Smack anyone who tells you to use safelite. They charge minimum 30% more than an actual auto glass shop.
