Walmart for oil, Toyota for the filters.

FWIW, for whatever reason, I've found that OEM filters are cheaper at the dealers [of Honda, Toyota, Mazda anyways] then at the car part places and they also tend to be better quality, sometimes MUCH better quality. And if you have A oil filter related issue, having a OEM filter on your ride gives you a far better chance of restitution then a wally world good/better/best generic oil filter, especially if your ride is newer.

$25 [$24 and change] for the oil at Wally world,[Mobil 1, $5-$6 for the filter, buy 1/2 dozen on line if you want] I just bought a 5 qt jug yesterday so that price is up to speed.

Cheapest oil I can find (Pennzoil Platinum has current rebate- buy two jugs get $25 gift card).
I buy a few OEM oil filters and drain washers from OEMpartsource.com when I need other OEM parts so that I don't have to pay separate shipping.
They're about $3.50/ea, so you can't beat that.

Oil from my local dealer, I bought a few of the fancy TRD oil filters from an on line dealer when I got the truck.

There is no problem with the OEM Toyota filter either or WIX brand filters - standard and extra performance available. Most important is that the oil/filter gets changed as needed rather than the brand of supplies.

Oil from Walmart, Filter from Toyota. MotivX for the Cap Socket, Drain/Tube & Funnel. MotivX tools aren't necessary but having the proper tools for the job makes it much easier and cleaner.

Save all Oil/Filter receipts, log mileage and date oil was changed on them. You should never need them but they'll be really handy if the worst should happen.
