One of my favorite animated avatars. It’s as if Rick Flair is celebrating everything this guy does to his truck. Too good.

I did put some RTV down before the A pillar bracket and used a little extra around the rivits so hopefully it at least sealed good for now. It feels pretty secured and I think the Safari Snorkel in my 2nd gen only used self tappers on the A pillar.

Did yours get ripped off on some brush or a car wash?

The rivits should be fine as far as strength and it seems you sealed it well with the RTV. None of that is the issue.

The problem is, if you ever have to replace your windshield, you'll probably have to drill out those rivits. It can be pretty hard to find a glass shop that will to install a windshield with the snorkel attached. Because they can't set up and drop the windshield straight in. They would have to manuver around the snorkel.

Well, need some advice. In the middle of an alternator swap and while trying to loosen the bottom bracket i loosened a oil pump cover bolt instead. The one circled in red is the one I broke loose. When I reached up feeling around for the bracket I knew I got the wrong bolt.

So I’m looking for torque specs so I can get this back down correctly and there’s two specs for two different sets of bolts but I can’t find a diagram anywhere.

anybody have any idea if it’s 15ftlb or 31ftlb?

I don't think any of that is necessary.

I did not have a problem 2 years ago when I had mine replaced. Called ahead to double check though.

Fortuanately I used rivnuts. Checked with 4 shops, and none of them would do it with the snorkel on. (was being lazy and didn't want to remove it). Ended up removing it and getting it done.

Now, thinking about it, I can understand why they wouldn't want it in the way... and actually, wouldn't really trust a shop to do it with the snorkel on the truck.

All done installing the lift. I'm not measuring on level ground but I definitely got ~1.5-2" in front and ~2.5-3" in the back from where it was. There is a decent amount of rake but I know the leafs should settle over time. Thoughts on what should come next between 33s, UCAs, or a front bumper?
