I like it...i would use it over other additives. But I also use only Ethanol free gas...that's the mai reason for many engine related issues...

I would love to know where to buy ethanol free gas here in Northwest Indiana. Never really looked into it but I know it's very damaging to carbureted vehicles for sure. The only way to keep them from plugging up the carburetors over the winter is to use seafoam or to completely drain the gas out of the system

Up in Alberta Canada we can find it at most Shell but only the V power, some Co-op and Canadian Tire...try google it and try to stay away from crap gasoline...i think Project Farm (YouTube channel) did a thing on gasoline that contains ethanol vs not.

I used to add 1 oz per gallon of 87 octane in a 94 chevy s10 with the iron duke 4 banger. It cost less than buying premium gas, gave me better mpg's, better acceleration and no nocking sounds.

I read that Briggs and Stratton (largest small engine manufacturer in the world) recommended adding mmo to small engines to help counter the effects of ethanol in today's fuels.

For the last 5 years, I've only had diesels: a 7.3 van and a alh tdi jetta. The technical nerds at the tdi forum tested fuel lubricants for lubricity and found mmo to actually lower lubricity levels in diesel fuel. So I now add super tech tcw-3 2 stroke oil to my tdi since the alh motor was designed for the higher 500ppm sulphur diesel fuel.

I still have almost a gallon of mmo in the basement, but no use for it as of now. I do use sea foam from time to time. Diesel kleen goes in my tdi regularly. It has 285k on it.

10 - 4 on that it appeals to a target audience that believes is miracles in a bottle. Unless you lived up somewhere near the South Pole or article circle you’d be fine to use synthetic grade oils. The only thing marvelous or mysterious about this product is that folks are still buying after all these years.

Save your money make your own MMO using automatic transmission fluid and acetone and don’t forget to add that minty fragrance that lets you know it’s real good shit. Lol

to the follower that posted a testimonial of noisy lifter being cured. This trick was shown to me using automatic transmission fluid way back in the 1960s Last time I checked ATF is way cheaper than MMO. My favorite testimonial here about grandpa leaving engine outdoors with head off then uses the magic oil and all is well.

This is hilarious stuff thanks for the chuckle

I’m sure there are some people that think like that but it’s just a product that works pretty well in some applications. I’ve had good luck with it as a penetrating oil it seems to draw to the heat fairly well. I also use it sometimes directly in the crankcase mixed with the oil for a couple hundred miles on older engines as a cleaner. Works really good like that for small 4 strokes like mowers and shit to. It’s not anything special but it’s a pretty good product.

Try the auto trans fluid acetone trick it works as penetrating oil very well and costs way less than MMO mix it 50/50....https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/threads/acetone-and-atf.230641/page-2

I use it in every tank on my roadstar 1700 motorcycle because it prevents sticky valve syndrome which is common on these bikes. Cylinder head gets really hot and burns off oil snd leaves carbon behind. Mmo stops this and i also use it in my lawnmower, i cut 2.5 acreas all in one shot and after 9 years she is still strong. Scotty kilmer from YouTube says not to use in newer motors so i have not use it in my 21 sr5 yet. But all my carbureted engines get it every tank.

Agree. It's not a "mystery". It's mostly a solvent. So it performs somewhat of an internal engine flush. My shop used to use it years ago. We also used kerosene to do the same thing. Add a quart of it into an engine. Run on fast idle for 20-30 minutes. Drain and watch the sludge come out. But that was when engines were massive hunks of cast iron and steel. Not sure if todays engines could handle it. And now you have to consider catalytic converter contamination with fuel and oil additives.

I tend to agree with you. MMO does work for certain things, but there are far less expensive products to use. ATF is great for breaking up a sludged engine, internally. We used it or kerosene back in the days when Quaker State was a top selling motor oil. ATF or kerosene literally flushed the engine, as seen by the muck that drained out of the oil pan. Not so sure todays engines can handle something like that though. And anything added to the gas tank has to eventually go through the catalytic converter. So contamination is a factor.
