I was replacing the license plate lights after seeing one of the lights was flickering when driving, thinking that the bulb was going out I opted to replace it.

I ended up noticing that the wiring going into the back of the connector must not be connected well because moving the wiring would flicker the lights. Does anyone have experience replacing one of these connectors or securing the wiring better?

I’d check for corrosion. If it’s solid I’d fill the area where the wire enters with a hot glue gun eliminates movement and waterproof

While you're at it, you might consider upgrading to LED license plate lights if you haven't already. They're inexpensive and very simple to install.
