Waiting on my new truck

First post here, I have my name on a 22 Tacoma sr. It was scheduled to be built on April 13th but got pushed back to April 21st. As of May 2nd the dealer says it’s on a train headed to port and then board a truck to Michigan. We’re is this port, what do they do there and when can I expect delivery?

I'm waiting on my truck also, it was built and Vin generated April 6th. Initially showed it would be delivered May 4th, but its still showing on a vessel

Port could be several locations. At the port, the Toyota distributors (there are 12 in North America) could add things like steps, wheels, grilles, floor mats, etc. They then prepare a boatload of trucks to be delivered by rail or truck. Two weeks is a standard time from arrival at port to arrival at dealership.

Soon I hope! I just put a deposit on mine yesterday was built April 25 and they said usually 4 weeks after that date depending. Tracking showed it in Cali train bound for Tennessee. 1st post!

It is hard to tell with the current trucker shortage. I don't think it is a shipping port but port of entry from Mexico to California. There isn't anything you can do to expedite. Dealer will have to prep also. I would bet almost two more weeks. Good luck.

Port is a generic name for one of the waypoints from Mexico to you.

I'm in SE MI and from port to my dealer this March it took 10 days then my dealer got it ready in another day. Congrats on the new truck.

Surprised you needed to order an sr. Their about the most popular trim on dealers lots here....you can't get the the upper trims.
