21 tacoma sr, how to get 12v from overhead console

Hello,
My apologies if this is a repeat thread. Can someone please help me with accessing 12v from the overhead console of a 2021 Tacoma Sr for a gopro camera? I'm not sure which wires to tap into. I took a picture of the overhead console. i purchased a 12v converter to 5v but don't know where to tap the red and black wires. Thanks. I greatly appreciate any help.

Is there a plug on the windshield side of your rear view mirror? I believe some folks have purchased a harness to tap in there for dash cams.

 

Hi Toy21Taco! Like you I am a new member! I saw you need information to get 12v from the overhead console on a SR. I just purchased a 2022 SR. My wife wanted a mirror on the passenger side and the one I bought had lights around the mirror. I did a search on here and found a How To : SR vanity lights. (Sorry I don’t know how to make a link) It has a very good wiring diagram for the lights and the plug for the console. It may help with what you need. I don’t know the current limit for a camera instead of two vanity lights but maybe it will help get you started! Good luck!

12v DC circuit cuts off 20 min after engine off unless triggered by unlock/lock.
