Having debt is like having a loan that you don't pay back, and you get to keep the interest.

 

Debt be a tool. There are smart ways to use it and dumb ways to use it.

yea im not in the camp that believes keeping a mortgage all my life is a great idea....some people love that idea

i'm in the camp that believes paying off debt and being financially free is a good idea.

 

Oh no, not that. That's fine. Your life will always have servicing costs, the only questions are if your income outruns them and you are satisfied with your lifestyle.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think what that other dude was trying to get at is that inflation degrades debt burden over time because debt is nominal, and that money is better used to generate returns rather than pay off low interest debt.

He just phrased it horribly.

 

Or, maybe he left out a 0, intending to state:

sorry for the ignorant question, I exercised an option on this stupid stock so long ago i forgot what the point is (because we were all playing fast and loose then right?), the end game, the exit strategy if you will. Are you hoping for the tyde spin off to increase dramatically in value and just sell them? Is bbig going to run up some how because of a mythical squeeze that never seems to be going to happen? Is it all just hype kairo 2.0?
