Insurance man called me, said we have disappearing deductible and after 4 years we have no deductible on the camper so at least it won't cost us anything out of pocket.....hopefully :fingerscrossed:

    I think we've had it 7 years, it's a 2006 model.

How's the inside? If that's good, fixing up that sheet metal shouldn't be a huge issue. Might not look factory-fresh, but I'm sure you can make it 100% functional without a lot of effort.

The ceiling in the bathroom needs to be replaced from the water damage, it's not that big though. I'm not sure how far the water damage spreads since they are made with such small sized studs, etc.

I have often heard it said that campers are made of "sticks & staples".

Random archive item of the day, around 1965.

    KIMG2168.jpg

The cab over trucks on the right and left are Ford C Series, built from about 1958 to 1990 without significant changes to the cab.

They were vocational workhorses that were in the background for decades but seldom noticed, often used for garbage trucks.

If you watch 1960s-70 TV shows they are often seen in road or street scenes.

Back when I was in the local F.D. we had 2 cab over Ford fire trucks of that era, one was diesel, one was gas. Both were manual and grind em til you find em applied. I remember one day my dad cranked the diesel, my brother and I both (probably 8-10) standing on the back waiting on him to pull out of the station and the smoke almost killed us. He had to wait on the air to build. My brother and I eventually got to drive them when we got of age. They sold them in the late 90's probably.

I was driving back from a call one day and something started slapping the floor board and the power steering quit, yepp, broke belt :D
