People can say I baby my dog if they want, but the reality is if we let them jump up and down (especially into and out of a lifted truck) the wear and tear on their back, hips, and just joints in general will start to add up faster than if you provide them with full assistance. I would get a ramp or something if needed, but as of now I am fine just picking up my girl to get her in the truck and helping her back out. She's about 65 pounds of muscle and wild woman. Sure, if she HAD to do it on her own she for sure could. But I would rather enjoy watching her enjoy a few more years of healthy running before she starts to slow down due to mileage. I love her enough to not care if people think she's babied. Same with the Tacoma. lol

If I lift her in and out I'm going to end up doing much worse to my own back. I think steps would be much better for us both.

That's an interesting idea. I hadn't thought of something inside the opening but being round something cut to fit could drop in and out of the way.

Yep this guy gets it. My doggo is about 90 lbs and I just lift his big ass in the truck and I have top plates on my sliders. Just lift with your legs bro. Hell @Junkhead carries his pooch up the ladder into the RTT we ain't close to spoiling that much lol.

    Haha I sure do!

It’s a great workout! Funny thing, I almost fell with him last time. It was super hilarious actually. Wouldn’t be so funny if I fell on him though…

Sometimes you have to ask. I asked Decked drawers if they sold the measuring plate on their drawers separately and they do.
I want to put that measuring plate on the tailgate
