Gas gauge seems off 2018 Tacoma

Please Help! Is a way to reset get gas gauge? It will tell me *** miles to go and I’ll put fuel in it and still have 5-8 gallons in the tank.

 

It is made that way to protect people from themselves. Usually at E you have three or so gallons.
Dumbasses won't pay attention, run out, burn up in tank fuel pump, blame Toyota and then buy a Buick.
So, Toyota fixed the dumbass problem by going to zero miles before fuel runs out. Amazing huh?

 

It just started doing this about 3 months ago. I’ve had the pickup for 1.5 yrs

 

disconnect the battery for a few minutes. seems to reset the distance to empty number.
