When I bought my 21 TRD Sport long bed I asked my dealer about the TRD Lift and they said they could only do on the short beds. I looked it up and that’s what I found too. I recently moved and just curiously asked a different dealer and they are saying they can do the TRD lift on the DCLB.

Has anyone here got the lift on the DClb?

Regardless of the answer, it seems very overpriced......

A few folks around have either done it or investigated it.

I'm unsure what the bed length would have to do with it, since all the suspension bits are the same.

Maybe someone can 'xplain that for us.

It is definitely overpriced but I have been wanting a genuine TRD PRO grill, and this way it doesn’t void any part of my warranty so IMO it’s worth it.

but yeah, not sure why it’s compatible as like you said the parts should be the same for each wheel base…

The shocks will work fine on the truck. There's nothing really different about that. Everything else is just a block for the rear (some members have gotten dealers to do an add-a-leaf instead), new break clips, fog light covers, and the trd grill. The expensive part tends to come from all the extra goodies but I did just the shocks for 400(self-install)

If you go this route make sure you get ALL the parts back they removed, they are your property! For whatever reason (they're to high now I guess) they remove the fogs and block the openings, I'm sure you'll want to reinstall these. You'll want the rest to go back to stock is you ever want to.

There are much cheaper ways to achive lift than this kit and it won't void your warranty.

I specifically asked the dealer that question and they said they wouldn’t remove the fog lights

Yeah I don't know why, some do some don't.

I'm curious, what are they charging you for the lift and install?

When I was looking into this OEM lift for my ‘18 DCLB Sport, I asked my dealership’s parts guy about it. He asked their regional rep, who checked into it and said, long beds weren’t included (yet?) because they hadn’t yet done whatever ‘validating’ they wanted to do for long beds.

I have no idea how legitimate that answer is, or what kind of validating they might be interested in doing, but that was the feedback they gave me.

The parts guy had the impression I think that they might complete that ‘validation’ process at some point and it may become ‘officially’ available for long beds.

Did I read this correctly? We’re wanting to spend $2500 for a Trd lift kit just to get the pro grill? Which is like $199 on many websites?

    Nope, $2100.

I’m sure op wanted the OEM lift also and to keep his warranty intact too.

It’s overpriced but some people have excess money.
