What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Rad truck man!

 

Had some 275 70 17 bfg KO2s installed on 17" x 8" +5 offset replika wheels. Still have the stock UCAs. Removed front mud flaps becuase they were rubbing even after I took a heat gun to them. Suspension setup is 885 OME up front and HD Dakars in the back with OME sport nitrochargers all the way around. Will take the setup offroad this weekend to see how she handles and if any additional modifications will be necessary.

 

Yup. Love that color on my truck also.

 

Installed a secondary fan to go along with my 2 trans coolers.

 

What rock chip guard are you running on your hood? Looks awesome.

 

Nice new set of brakes on all 4 corners. I added SS brake lines last summer and now this stops amazing! I've never seen shiny drums lol.

 

Added a Tru Trac Posi. Works great

 

Ordered my softopper today!! Went with black, can’t wait for it to come.

 

Today I replaced the broken chinese knock offs of the factory Tacoma taillights.

I replaced them with cheap knock offs of cheap taillights.

What the hell is up with pink taillights on the 1st run 2nd gens... and that includes these cheap knock offs of cheap taillights... I'm cool with pink but taillights are supposed to be RED. LOL

 

Oh! And I got the PM, I'm gonna be a cool kid soon as it's time for my HomerTaco grille to get built! Whu who!!

 

It was so nice during lunch today that I unbolted the front bed rail. Ran a tap through the holes in the bed and ran a die over each of the bolts.
Then I wiped the dirt from the rail itself and bolted the rail back onto the truck using anti-seize on each of the bolts. Tomorrow I'll do the same to the driver's side.

 

Which hood wind deflector is that? edit: Looks like I'm not the only one who is curious lol.

Purchased a custom fit sun shade for the Sacramento heat (near 100 today).

Also received this little guy in the mail today - URD 2.8" quick change pulley for my Magnuson SC.

It will be going in sometime in the (hopefully near) future, along with URD TCAI and fuel pump along with ECU reflash. Still thinking about exhaust..

 

How's the supercharger with the manual? It's my dream haha

 

Busy few days for the Taco. New hub bearing and tire rotation on Sunday, pulled the center caps while I was at it to add some logos. Then today installed a front and rear dash cam, finished up my anytime inverter mod, added a 120v outlet to the center console and installed a USB port going to the head unit in the arm rest.

 

Thanks! I love shifting and that it's a 6 spd! Needs a traction bar and another gear though, high rpm on the freeway. The SC whines more than I thought it would. Took a few months to find the truck though, had to drive a city or two over.

What clutch is in the truck?

 

Stock, original. 50k on the truck, bought it new, about 12k on the clutch since the SC install. No issues yet! Doesn't feel like it's worn significantly, but never compared it to anything with less (or more) miles.

 

I've definitely been waiting for a reply to that question to. And to see what rubbing he gets with the 275/70/17
