How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

Just emailed my sales guy... fingers crossed. Wondering how many Tacoma owners DONT opt for the tech package.

 

Mine doesn't have it. Didn't want to pay more for something I probably wouldn't pay attention to anyway. None of my other cars have ever had any sort of monitoring system other than a back up camera.

 

I didn't opt for it, I figured that with the ongoing shortages I'd rather have my truck sooner than later.

 

Yeah, maybe I'm overthinking it. Seems silly for me to pull out of a deal after waiting 2+ months over a tech package.

 

As long as you're not paying for something you're not getting, I'd personally keep the order. But I'm sure they're are a few people who would cancel their orders over not getting a tech package as some people really want it.

 

Hey Rod! Mind checking this VIN for me? 3TYDZ5BN5NT012750. It’s still showing up as “A” for me on Vspec, and it’s been a few weeks.

 

Seems like most come with the tech package. I searched for a manual trans TRD OF that did not have any tech packages. Took some time but I found one. Now I am in the waiting game.

 

I've had my local dealer looking for an Off-Road with my color preferences and tech package. I did my own search and found one not reserved at another dealership. I think I would really like it. Especially that backup feature which I think is really neat. It's all personal preference and it's also a factory thing so I thought I'd rather have it than not, unlike some of the other options that can be added on by yourself.

 

Truck arrive to Santa Rita in mexico today, needs one more truck ride to the port for Vessel depart.

Truck arrived to Long Beach on 05/05, waiting to depart by rail.

 

Truck is schedule to be build on 05/25.

 

I didn't doubt you, was just curious how you got a VIN and your explanation totally makes sense. I ordered from Windward back in January, paid my $500 deposit, and have been waiting ever since. My salesman told me no VIN until the truck is on the boat, which is why I asked. My original order has been pushed to July, and I fully expect it to be pushed again till September or later. I was hoping to snag a cancellation that was close to what I ordered, but no luck yet. Apparently their is an unclaimed MT Pro inbound (might be on Sand Island right now), that my salesman is trying to snag for me. Thanks for the picture!

Yet Servco Toyota here in Hawaii just delayed ~250 Tacos that were set to arrive here later this month and June. I love your optimism and really hope that you are right, but the situation on the ground over here says otherwise.

 

Man, getting tired of waiting, shipped from San Diego on 4/30 and still hasn't arrived.

 

First notification of doors unlocking and mileage calculated yesterday. Hopefully that means it was loaded onto the train.

 

Finally took delivery!!
