Does any one know where I could go on an easy trail to go over landing in the west valley of Arizona? I live in buckeye and want to take the family camping just to get out the house.

I love following power lines, pipe lines, railroads, because most have service roads along their right-of-ways.

A couple of years ago I followed a pipeline (with a decent road). I picked it up west of Tonopah, it poped me out on the I-10 between Quartzite and Erenburg. The pipeline parallels I-10, but sometimes as far as 20 miles south of the interstate. It also runs thru a portion of the Kofa National Wildlife Refuge with some really cool looking desert (tons of saguaros, palo verde, mesquite, etc).

Bust out a map and have a look-see.

    Fotos from out there:

Northern AZ is a blast. Might be out of the way but Sedona and Prescott have some great dirt roads to explore. Hope this helps
