If we are not careful there will be unmanned cars on the track with nerds sitting in simulators driving next.

The 43 stop reminds me of the saying: "Torqued to spec or cross threaded. Tight is tight."

I mean, Denny has a reputation. The mother of his children, Jordan Fish vowed to expose him once and within 24 hours she went silent and her twitter account was gone. There was the Danica feud and later they popped up in beach vacation photos together. Denny is known to bring the party and party hard. Same with Kurt in prior years.

I guess Kyle B did it right. Just marry a chick that's hotter than all the strippers and hookers. I must say I think Dale Jr wins the hottest wife race though.

Things with Kurt and Ashley have been going south for a little while from what I've heard. Someone pointed out that some time in March or so they stopped sharing and liking one another's posts so I imagine it really escalated around then.

I saw some chatter that the production team behind this was Kyle's PR team. They're being a bit coy about who financed it and made it happen while making it look like some random documentarian thought it would make for a good story. It's a fair point. No-name young filmmakers don't get this kind of access out of the gate. The signs point to this as an attempt to boost his name in a contract year. Which, fine, no harm no foul. Do you. But the behind the scenes stuff seems a bit shady.

Could be! Not sure Kyle needs anymore attention to boost his name, even in a contract year. There is no owner or team that doesn't understand what they are getting with Kyle. They sure put it together quickly if it's all about getting the attention of whoever needs to know that Kyle is in a contract year.

To be fair, "shady" is probably how you could describe most things if you look behind the scenes.

Something working against these tenured drivers is the pay scale. Like it or not Dale Jr set that market and his salary was high because of the merchandise he moved and the draw he was. Drivers who were part of his era benefited from the market he commanded. Now, sponsor dollars have changed. Drivers are owning a lot more of their own likeness and merchandising and the pay scale has dropped. I think Chase gets something like 8 million a year and Larson is only getting around 5. Coupled with all the other series they are racing in and all the extra money they get from commercials and appearances and all that they are still doing just fine. On the flip side last I looked Kyle Busch is getting something like 18 million a year just from JGR. When you break it all down, it takes a hell of a lot more sponsor dollars to cover that income than it does for our last two champions. These teams are spending more every other area and the crews and thus the drivers are getting less. These older drivers are going to have to take a substantial pay cut or it just does not make sense to keep them. I expect that is the delay on the KB deal.

I was looking at figures back 5 years ago and Nationwide could be the title sponsor for an entire cup race weekend for a 3rd of the price of what they were paying for just the hood of the 88.
