Astronauts assigned to Starliner have to be the ballsiest out there.

Here’s a thought, for the first couple Starliner missions, why don’t we offer all 4 seats to Russia, free of charge. Just in case there’s some bugs to work out..

Just based on my experience in the last work week, not all things Boeing go how Starliner has. Quite the opposite actually.

Considering the insertion burn glitch, this could mean that Boeing is having a good week?

Or, considering that ULA had OFT-2 go off with hardly a hitch means Boeing is having a bad week?

Yes. In a hold about 10 meters away, docking will be next orbit at approximately 7:57 pm EDT. A lot of leeway in that schedule.

Pics are amazing, seeing it there alongside the ISS. The capsule looked more elongated from one angle but now it's looking flattened out as usual (my own observation...)

Don't understand the reason but they retracted the docking ring to reset it and it's still holding at 10 meters...

Two types of Commercial Crew Vehicles are docked to the ISS.

Soyuz isn't a commercial crew vehicle so I'm going to assume he means the Starliner and Dragon.

So is this only for space science or any science? guy at work at the desk next to me was watching a podcast about how the pyramids were built and I went looking and stumbled upon a theory that they were cast from an ancient form of concrete, which would explain the narrow gaps, how level it was, etc. Never even thought of that. I mean Romans had concrete too.

"It is uncertain when Roman concrete was developed, but it was clearly in widespread and customary use from about 150 BC; some scholars believe it was developed a century before that."
"All three of Giza's famed pyramids and their elaborate burial complexes were built during a frenetic period of construction, from roughly 2550 to 2490 B.C"
EDIT: Ope bc goes backwards. So the Egyptians made it first.

I’ve taken a broad interpretation of the ‘Science’ in the title.

As for the Pyramids, I’ve always heard they were made from giant blocks ferries up the Nile River :notsure:.

If they were concrete, wouldn’t they be able to definitively say so just like with the Roman concrete?

Oh, I guess I figured it was commercial but Roscosmos is to Russia what NASA is to the US?
I can see the larger blocks, maybe. But what about the white capstones?
