ok first off i don’t have a tacoma..yet..i was just in a motorcycle accident, i’m gonna be ok but i’m done riding, i’m too old for this healing crap! so i have a harley, and a big dodge diesel 2500 it’s lifted it has 37 inch tires and is a pain in the butt to get into and then back out of..it’s hard to,park as well..it’s a great truck but it’s more than i need..so my plan is to trade my truck in at the toyota dealership and sell my bike. i need something smaller and from what i see and have read the tacoma looks to be the best small truck out there..i have decided on the
trd off road…the access cab version..it looks like it’s about perfect….now i have a couple of questions..the factory lift kit..is it worth it? i’m not going off road maybe a logging road or flat stuff..no rock crawling or heavy wheelin.. but i know a lift kit would allow me to put better tires on it, and it says something about blistien shocks?. so,is that lift kit worth the cost is my question.. also i’d like to thank that tacomaholic guy..he mentioned this place and he seems pretty into his truck.. any other tips i’d sure appreciate them..thanks!,

A little of this and a little of that.
    Welcome to TW.
I'm glad you are OK after the motorcycle crash.
Tacomas are great trucks, and this is the place for lots of great info on these trucks.

You will get more 'real money' selling it yourself, assuming it's condition won't scare off folks. At least try Carvana, Carmax and maybe your local Dodge dealer to see what they'd pay outright.

Overpriced. It's a profit maker, and the psychological ploys are 'it's warrantied' and it can be part of the finance package. You can do way better on your own. IF you even need a lift. Most folks are more for looks than function.

You can put on better stock size or slightly larger tires with no lift. Lift has less to do with tire upsizing than the wheel fitment. If you stay with the OE wheels, you can run a full 33" if you pick the 255 width.

The real deal is using it as is, then modify where it falls short. What you describe as your use won't need a thing.
