That's what I did. I heard a lot of complaints about them at max height, ride was too stiff.

The general consensus is if you don't have a lean before you shouldn't have a lean afterwards since everything rests on the springs and not the shocks.

I put this spacer on over the weekend guys. It fixed the lean! It was extremely easy and only took me about 45 minutes.

Just in case it will help future posters here are the steps (I did) to do this. I know this isn't the only way, but it worked for me.

    • Jack up truck and take wheel off. Make sure you support the truck with jack stands!!

    • Remove the two 17mm bolts to move the brake caliper and move it to side. Please make sure you support it with a piece of wire, twine or something else.

    • Take off your rotor. You may have to smack it with something to break the rust loose if there is any. Don't hit the face of the rotor with a metal hammer, you can scar it. (I kicked mine with the bottom of my shoe and it broke loose)

    • Undo your stabilizer by removing the 17mm bolt and pushing it back through its hole and move it out of the way. If you don't remove this it makes getting the coilover assembly out extremely annoying.

    • Remove the two 19mm bolts holding the steering knuckle (?) to the lower ball joint. They may be pretty tight, so get an impact if needed.
*At this point you should be able to move the rest of the steering components towards the front of the truck and out of the way with just your hands.
BE CAREFUL with the ABS line, you do NOT want to screw this thing up. I unclipped mine from the little bracket just behind the dust shield so it wasn't so tight.

    • Now we're on to the coil spring itself, undo the 3 14mm bolts at the top of the plate. (The back one is a little tough to get to with a ratchet so use a wrench to save yourself some heartache)

*NOTE: DO NOT UNDO THE BIGGER NUT IN THE MIDDLE it will release the coils and probably kill/maim you!

    • Undo the 19mm bolt on the bottom of the shock and push the lower control arm down a little bit while pulling on the bolt, it should slide right out.

    • After the bottom 19mm shock bolt is out push down on the LCA and pull the coilover assembly towards you. It should pop out of place.

    • Move the assembly down far enough to get the spacer on top of it and put it all back together. There is no need to take it all the way out.

Sorry if its a little long winded, it's really a simple process that even a beginner should be able to accomplish.

TL,DR: Move steering assembly out of the way, drop coilover down just enough to put spacer on top and then reassemble.

Please note that these instructions are for the 1/4" spacer only, anything above that requires longer bolts to be pressed in which involves releasing the coil.

Thanks for the all the help guys! I'm happy to have a level Tacoma now :D

Do you need to install the spacer on the front and rear of the driver's side or only front?
