Can’t help but drive the xxx miles to Moab after work on fridays. Smokey Boy can’t help anything other than making this ball squeak.

Took a quick trip up the mountain with my wife, dogs and a couple of sandwiches. When we hit the snow we thought, ehh, not today. Turned around, ate lunch and headed home. Got home and knocked out adding a third brake light, TRD skid and Talon Cat protector. That's all posted in the What've You Done to Your Third Gen Today thread.

Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
Well at least the snow is preferable to that mud.

Go the other side also, so turn left at Sylvester road off highway #7 and just follow it. Tons of side trails, but watch out for the weekend warriors, it can get hairy up there on the blind corners.

Weekdays are good. Just past Salisbury lake are some high lookout points where you can see down to the east side of Stave lake. Great views. If I recall, there is a turn up the west side of Salisbury lake that winds down to the east side of Stave lake where there are nice rough campgrounds on the lake. Has been about 18 years since I have been in that area but used to go there frequently.

Since you are new to offroading, be careful in the areas I mentioned. There are some hairy spots to get stuck once you get off the service roads. Speaking from experience.

Near Salisbury lake, I once had a monster lifted Dodge come 60kmh around a hairpin turn in a sideways slide, in my lane coming head on. I was going 10kmh so I was able to avoid the collision. Dirt bikers do the same up there. Idiots…

Yes good advise. The area has gotten worse since the pent up pandemic folks looking for an escape and general population growth in the LM.

Got a chance to test out my truck 4x4 capability recently in the Eastern Sierras. The view at the end of this trail was breathtaking.

    Yeah
2 weeks since the tacos motor offed it’s self and I needed to get out off the road so I took a short trip in the subi today. I know they’re not taco pics but ya’ll are the only forum I bother posting to anymore

Had the real doors on instead of the trail doors cause it was 91*F and >90% humidity today so I wanted to be nice and cool in the AC. The old shitbox can’t go fast enough for the wind alone to keep me cool with the doors off lol.
