I’ve got a new 2022 Tacoma. I want to be notified if the doors are left unlocked after I leave the truck, and ideally the truck would lock itself, assuming keys are not in truck. Anybody have any good suggestions?

If you have the toyota connect app it will notify you if you leave the doors unlocked and you can lock, unlock, and start the vehicle from the app.

    Oh look, another mod....
The factory "alarm" does not have the ability to lock itself. You may want to look into an aftermarket alarm if you want that. But I'm not sure the truck has that ability. The best thing you can do is to form the habit of pressing the lock button on your keyfob twice every single time you lock it. Yes....twice. Each time.

Once to lock the doors, once to set the alarm.
