I bought my 2019 longbed, double cab, Tacoma Sport this past January. It is a beautiful truck and something I have wanted for a long time. I was told that it had a Toyota professionally installed 4" lift kit. I have recently learned that the lift kit info is not true. It is an aftermarket kit with 2" in the front and zero in the back. The truck has a vibration or a shudder that I feel every time I drive it. Usually at around 40 to 50 mph. The shudder is annoying and I am concerned that something will fail. I have oversized tires and a fairly heavy fiberglass cap on the back. I recently took it back to the Toyota dealer where I purchased and they did the transmission reset for the computer module. NO DIFFERENCE! I have been advised that I should return the truck to factory height and tires. Well that is not what I wanted when I bought a Tacoma. Anybody had the same problem or know of any solutions? I have been all over YouTube and I see that transmission problems are quite common for this truck.

Is the “shudder” you’re referencing an acceleration/deceleration issue? Or are you saying the whole truck is shaking like it’s a suspension/wheel issue?

If it’s the former then a tune will probably fix it. One of the first things I did to my truck because I couldn’t live with the stock transmission shift points, they’re so horrible.

Could be your needle bearing from lifting the front, could be your driveline angle. If it happens on acceleration and comes back at a certain speed I'm leaning toward carrier bearing spacer to solve it, like 12 bucks from arb and 5 minutes under the truck to install

We need more information. Post pics of the suspension front and rear. Describe the behavior in more detail.

Your post didn't state how many miles are on the truck but I would get 16 quarts of transmission fluid and perform 4 or 5 transmission drains and refills. This might solve/correct the issue and if it doesn't it is good to do anyways. I'd probably also pull the pan off, get a new gasket [35168-04010] ~ $35, clean the magnets, and pop a new screen/filter [35330-04010] ~ $40 in while I'm at it.

I've posted this a few times...
I think it could apply to you as well.

"The thing about bad slip contro(aka flex lockup)is it exacerbates other things; motor mounts, driveshaft vibes, etc. Then you get caught in a chicken vs egg troubleshooting paradox, as you have experienced with your uncertainty, regarding TC vs driveshaft."

Could be one or the other, both or something else entirely. But as another poster suggested, you need a lot more detail in your description to start narrowing it down.
