Learned that at least one stud on 3 of 4 wheel spacers are bent. They were removed, new wheel spacers ordered and an attempt to remove and replace the studs on the old wheel spacers will be done.

Weds Hase spec II 17x8.5 -6 offset on 285/70/R17 General Grabber X3's

 

1) New spacers have been ordered and they'll be here Thursday; install this weekend.

2) New, extended studs coming for the Bora spacers.

Loooove the wheels. Also, there’s something about a set of grabbers with the red lettering that just gets me right in the feels every time. Maybe it’s because I’m an expedition overland fanboy lol.

I should have looked around to see if they make the ATX’s with the redwalls before I bought them.

Yeah, i think you’re right. I didn’t even check because I just assumed they don’t since I’ve only ever seen the AT3’s with the red.

That’s not a bad idea. Or I could get some AT3’s and be part of the cool kids club.

 

They're not bad at all. Granted I've only been around town so far but got up to 50. No highway speeds yet.

I was wondering about the road noise. That’s good to know. The ATX’s aren’t too noisy either, especially if the windows are all up. I reallyyyy don’t need AT3’s though lol

Lol I knooowww. I only have about 10K miles on my ATXs so it’ll be a bit before I need a new set. Definitely gonna consider the AT3’s when it’s time though.

 

TPMS light came on this morning. Fuck yeah dude.

Called up discount and spoke to the manager and he said to bring it by. Brought it by and the technician that did the relearn on Saturday admitted he couldn't fit the OBDII port under the dash to do the relearn on Saturday.

I physically connected it for him (shout-out @boogie3478 for the OBDII splitter idea) and he completed the job he should have done Saturday afternoon.

Tonight's lesson. Always check the manufacturer's website. Bora sells extended studs. Didn't know.

Calling them tomorrow morning.

The ones I got don't seat into the spacers without spinning and flopping around. They'll be returned and I'll get a refund.

Didn't stop me from hammering out the bad studs tonight:

 

3 stupid questions:

1) would changing wheels and tires call for an alignment?

2) if the spacer studs were bent/warped, and you get an alignment, that affects the alignment, yes?

3) should I wait until I install spacers to get an alignment?
