El Nopalito off Sante Fe and the 5 in Encinitas. Market/restaurant in the shopping center. Carne asada is amazing. Stop in simply for a bag of chips and their roasted red salsa. It’s insanely good.

Restaurant in the back of a meat market. I've only had breakfast there. It's fantastic and under $10 for ayce homemade meats with pancakes and eggs.

 

For Ventura County.
In Simi Valley there is Reds BBQ.
Good lunch specials, good bbq and very clean restaurant.
Tri Tip is my favorite with roasted potatoes and baked beans.
Big portions too like BBQ should be.
