TACO GARAGE - Dashtop Multi Mount (DMM) CLEAN and SOLID Tacoma accessory mounting

Nice pictures, but too little info, and I don't see it on the website, so here goes:
1. Is it compatible with older DMM models?
2. How does it attach to the DMM?
3. How many USB ports does it have?
4. Do you have a PNP solution to getting it power, or does the user have to figure out where to tap into 12V?
5. What's the price?

So I received my prototype MagSafe adapter for my DMM. I love it, I know not having CarPlay while might be an issue for some people, but it feels sturdy enough to hold my phone during very mild off-roading and keep my phone in place while daily driving. Thanks @FreshMexicanTaco for another great product!

 

Just put my MagSafe adapter in today too! Really pleased with it. Looks great, it’s a snug fit for the charger, and I have zero worries about it falling out. A very small detail that I was really impressed with was that when my phone is on it, there’s actually clearance between the adapter and my phone case. I was concerned that the adapter would be flush and could potentially rub ever so slightly on my case, but nope. There’s about a 1/32” gap back there. Talk about precision! Very excited to have a magnetic charging mount now

One note- seat the cord half of it first. I’m a dummy and seated the other end first and ended up smushing off the tiniest bit of sheathing on the cable b/c it wasn’t perfectly aligned with the notch.

Also picked up one of the new arms and it definitely looks a lot nicer and the handle bit feels so much better to turn.

You have been asking for a DMM-like mount for the driver side of the dash and now I finally have one to release, here are a few pictures, the concept is just like the DMM but attaches to the dashboard itself not the trim, that means that it is even stronger than the DMM but its more visible, this Left hand Dash Mount has two mounting locations which can be used simultaneously, however, the space is kind of tight on the LH so mounting 2 items at once will be limited by the type of device you want to put up.
I have 4 pre-production sets that I can give away, the only problem with those is that the holes are a bit too close to the trim so the arms will not have as much room to articulate, especially the lower mount location, the upper mount location (pictured) has enough room... THIS HAS BEEN FIXED FOR THE PRODUCTION BATCH

Psyched to see how it turns out either way. I'm nearly ready to throw down on the DMM, just waiting to finalize my configuration and how I will run power.

 

Exactly what they said! I have the DMM ready to go but am holding off until the power solution is available!

 

Installed mine today. Couldn’t be happier and it could not of been any easier. Watch the install video, use the guide bolts. I paired it with a quad lock charger, absolute bomber mount. Can’t wait for the power solution to come out, the quad lock as a stubby little cord that should work perfect with I think @FreshMexicanTaco is coming out with.

 

Hey @FreshMexicanTaco, or anyone with knowledge...
What's the size of the thread on bolt that secures the ball to DMM?
I got my DMM a while back, and now want to add another ball, but thread in the hole all the way on the right in DMM seems to to be damaged. So I guess I should/have to run a tap to re-thread it. I think it's a 10-32, just not 100% sure

I'm thinking of getting a GMRS radio like the

$165 Midland MXT275 MicroMobile® GMRS Radio – 15 watts Two-Way Radio with Integrated Control Microphone – Overland Caravanning Tractors – Detachable External Magnetic Mount Antenna - 8 Repeater Channels

Midland MXT275 MicroMobile and the TG radio mount but I can't find a pic of the back of the mic to know if it would be compatible. The Midland holders look similar so maybe, but can anyone confirm? Thanks.

Also, does the mic holder come as a complete set as in the pic or just the holder? The website isn't very clear. Says "comes with our 1" ball mount adapter" but not sure what comprises the adapter.

I take that to mean it will come with the red anodized mic holder and one 1" ball (what the red piece is directly attached to). The silver arm is separate, and I believe the base in that picture is actually one of their phone/tablet mount/magnet.
