The risk of you having your vehicle goes down greatly if you park it in a locked garage over night. That's what I do. Hell, I set the alarm even though it's in garage with the garage door closed and locked. Then I lock the door from the house to the garage. And I don't keep my keyfob near my truck after it's parked & locked.

 

People suck and having to resort to do other things to try and deter cat theft or the theft of the whole damn truck is shitty.

It’s time we have trained snakes in the truck that bite and squeeze thieves necks!

 

Why hide a switch... have it in plain sight...

 

My buddy's 1995 Toyota truck has a relay from the "flash to pass" high beam column stalk. You have to pull the stalk towards you while turning the key to start in order for the starter relay to close.

 

Now that is a smart install... I like it

 

Save the $$ from the kill switch and move.

 

I actually know someone that installed a kill switch to their horn. They have to press the horn to start.

 

On my old 86 I had a hidden kill on the coil, with the switch off it would turn over but not start. Worked great for a truck that could otherwise be opened with any 80s Toyota key..

 

Theres a thought. A 12 switch in console panel that has a mutating key pattern digitally locked on a 12 hour cycle to start. Could be a panel and app combo that works like a permissioned Authenticator of sorts

 

A 12 hour lock would eliminate responding to an emergency call. Wife’s car won’t start. Ok honey I”ll be there in about 8hours once the timer on my truck lets me. Lol.
