2014 AC Tacoma I was considering trading in on a new RAV4 for kiddos. Problem was the dealer didn’t have any new ones and I wasn’t going to buy one used with the prices. Well salesman must have thought they had it in the bag and posted my truck for sale on their website the next day when I even said not happening. Was funny to see they were going to sell my truck for 21k. 2 gen with 168k. They offered 15 too which while decent I just didn’t feel right taking anyhow. I’ll be keeping this truck (second owner and still love it after five years)…loaded all the kids seats in back for the first time and they fit nicely! Things have a way of working out.

I actually called from my work phone and asked to test drive it later in the day. The salesman agreed to meet with it and stated it must be getting cleaned up . I should have gone there but I got honest and spoke to the used manager to have it removed.

Salesmen are the smartest and hardest-working of all the professions. You have to be to become one. Top level job with high requirements.
It requires a lot of knowledge.

Thank them for the free appraisal

Salesmen can't write. The job is higher level

What difference does it make. Their number's on the ad, not yours. Inquirers will contact the dealer. Let them waste their own time

Just wondering but is your Tacoma 4 cylinder or V6? 2wd or 4wd? Wondering what they are paying you 15k for.

If you have kids you ain't gonna keep the Access Cab much longer. The RAV4 isn't any better BTW. I'm 64. I raised 2 kids and have 5 grandchildren. My advice to you is to buy a full size crew cab truck for your and a full size SUV for your wife as soon as practical, you need the 3rd row of seats. Buy once, cry once and plan on driving them for at least 15 years or until the youngest moves out of the house.

If I'd done that I'd have been money ahead. Instead I kept tying to make cheaper options work and as we reached different stages in life had to keep trading for something else. I did end up buying a crew cab F150 and a Tahoe for my wife. I just wish I'd done it 10 years sooner. I only bought my Tacoma AFTER my youngest moved out of the house.

But 9 years later as grandkids kept coming and growing I'm back in a crew cab F150 and my wife is now driving a SUV with 3 rows of seats.

I actually already have a Silverado 2500 crew cab for when they’re older. The Tacoma will actually work well for them up until they’re teens. I rode around in the back of a small car my dad had for many years with my siblings and we never knew any different.

    The Tacoma is a 4x4 and a V6

TacoTuesday you need to calm down! I have been a salesman and no…they’re just average people man. They follow a playbook just like anyone lol. Also no one is wasting time…it’s all just good fun.

You should return and tell them you want a sports car. Something like a BMW Z4, see if they try to sell you a new Supra.
