toy? or truck mods?

so iv been saving some money to get myself a nice present and I'm going to have roughly $2400 and growing up in Kuwait we always went riding(atv riding) in the desert and iv always wanted one. this would be my chance and iv found a few i could afford and i know a bunch of people who go riding all the time so i would definitely get some use out of it.

but on the other hand i would also love to mod the taco a little bit . its pretty much stock besides painted wheels/ tints/ debadge/ shorty antenna.
and i feel like i should'nt put too much into it since its not a 4x4 and i don't do any serious offroading just some messing around in the dirt every once and a while. when i say mods i mean tires, leveling kit, yellow fogs, exhaust and that's pretty much it.
so what do you guys think? get myself a toy? or mod the taco?
