So it’s finally time to pull the trigger on a front bumper for my 3rd Gen but as we all know; it just ain’t that easy.

I’m going to compile a list of slim style bumpers I’ve picked out that can accommodate a winch along with pricing (From what I’ve found online, via email, or phone $cad) shipped to a residential address not including potentially getting bent by the fine duty agents south of the border.

If anyone has suggestions or experience’s as well as if it’s possible to get these bumpers for a better price before purchasing please chime in.

    Here we go.

    3. CBI Covert

I vote Greenlane! I have lots of their products on my truck (front bumper, skids, sliders, bed stiffeners) and it’s all super high quality. Plus they’re Canadian made! CB2D26F5-F40B-408B-B1C9-C8F5691A7619.jpg

    Badass, love it

Once Greenlane releases pricing on the new wings it’ll be hard not to. Love the look of the SSO so that was huge when they released that option with the stump bumper.

We might have a couple options in stock. I don't think we would be cheaper at face value, but remember our pricing includes shipping/duties/brokerage etc into Canada. We try to stay competetive, but it is difficult. But, if it's in stock, then there also won't be an 8+ week lead time! :canada:

If you plan on doing any recoveries, I have seen several bent Aluminum bumpers, including my own which is a (now defunct) Pelfreybilt, and a Greenlane that we had to fix in the shop recently. Nothing wrong with aluminum, but just good to know the limitations.

Where are you located? There’s bound to be some local fabricators that can make you whatever you want for less.

Aluminum might bend but steel will absolutely rust. As long as you understand what you're getting, everyone can justify their favorite. I have a bunch of Greenlane product and like it because it fairs well in winter road salt.

Oh shit! I didn't even think of this. I live in Reno and the winter is killer. I put on my mud flaps just to prevent salt on the body. I'm pretty much sold on the Greenland but this is one other excellent point.

Greenlane is located about 25 mins away from me so that was a factor. Loved visiting their workshop to see Canadians building these things and the company is still evolving and growing.
I have their full skids, sliders, and front bumper with a warn evo10 no suspension changes rides perfectly fine - which was a factor (all aluminum)
I liked the look of theirs the best with no “crash bar” which I think has a low chance of doing anything. Also considered the 4WP one which I think also looks great but worse build quality price and weight
