I had an Alpine ILX-W650 installed. The bluetooth sometimes works. The sound will cut in and out, and they can't hear me. I installed the firmware update for Alpine's website, and still have the same issue. And I did ensure there weren't any loose connections. There customer service is horrible. I would buy a different head unit, but mine isn't even a year old. I went to the store to ask if they could help me, but I was told to contact Alpine for any issues. Now I am back to using my bluetooth headset to talk. I am only giving my feedback here in hopes that someone else doesn't have the same issue if they buy an Alpine.

Appreciate the info, I've been looking at these systems so it's good to know potential downsides. Thanks.

The shop you bought it from should warranty replace the radio and if they did the install, they should def take a look at it

I wonder if one of the wires is pinched behind the head unit or shorting out somehow?
