When I fill up just before the gas nozzel clicks off I get a gush of gas out the fill tube.
    This happens at various stations.
So now I put the last few gallons in slowly.
Does anyone else have that experience?

Are you filling up from empty? or topping it off?

I'm in a '22 as well and have not had that happen. But once that pump clicks off, you're lucky to get another $.20 in it at best.

That happens to me when filling up my boat. Never had it happen on a vehicle though.

I'm guessing maybe there's a vent line that may be clogged or something not letting it vent and causing it to "burp" when it gets almost full?

    1. Try a different filling station.
    2. You have topped off your tank too many times and the evap canister is plugged.

one of the two is my guess. I quit at the first click and have zero problems.

Question...has it done this since new?

Does slowing it solve the problem. Not had this issue often, perhaps nozzle is cocked in filltube?

Never once this happened to me in 4 years. Once the handle clicks, I’m done filling up.

Happening since new only 3,500 miles on it.
I usually fill up when tank is down to 1/4.
    I do not top off.
    One click and done.
So last few fill ups I slow it down when I think it is close then no gush.
    Have tried different stations.
That 20 cents of wasted gas is now 40 cents.
I will have them check it at the 5k service.

Either the evap line is pinched, the vent valve is sticking, or the rollover valve is bad. Easy enough for the dealer to figure out which is the case and repair.

I wouldn't wait until 5k, just get an appointment now. You don't want to risk yourself and others with any overfills at the station.
