Has anyone actually had an issue with any bending in anything other than extreme offroading?

That is the same Bay seller I got mine from. And yes these are the Toyota spec wheels as far as I can tell. Factory metal center caps do fit.

Yes! But I have admittedly only been a poser since putting them on. Having our 3rd child this weekend = haven’t had much time for wheeling lately.

    Who cares, it's a badass!
Also congratulations on the 3rd child! My wife is due in 10 weeks.
How was it having two kids/fitting the family in the Tacoma so far? I feel like it gets super cramped in these little trucks.

Got my 17" FJ steelies back from the powder coater on Monday and made it down to America's Tire this afternoon to have them fitted. Steelies completely transformed the look of the truck, especially with the color I went with. Big thanks to @Camerasandcoffee for inspo photos and details on his setup!
    • OEM Toyota FJ Cruiser 17" steel wheels - P/N: 42611-35330
    • Powder coated with Prismatic Powders' solid tone "Thunder Grey" (PSS-5080) with no clear coat (very similar to @Camerasandcoffee 's PPG epoxy in RAL 7037 "Dusty Grey")
    • OEM Toyota center caps - P/N: 42603-35610
    • Dorman spline drive acorn lug nuts - M12 x 1.5 - black (aren't great as the cheap paint wore off when they were torqued down, probably going to swap them out eventually for better quality ones)
    • Falken Wildpeak AT3W in 265/70/R17
    • Stock TRD Off-Road suspension
    • Was able to transfer over TPMS from stock TRD-OR 16" alloys to OEM FJ 17" steelies.
No issues with rubbing during normal driving so far. May rub on mudflaps when front suspension is fully compressed and near full lock. I'm running the TufSkinz mudflaps.

Taking my 5 and 2 year old in the double cab is very tight. It’s not all that comfortable. 3 kids I’m not sure is all that possible tbh. We have a 3 row suv as our family hauler

Looks really good. I may look into the tuffskinz mud flaps as well. I have the factory ones which I’m happy with but afraid they’re going to get damaged off road.

Thanks! I've got to take it back to the tire store this week, they mismatched the direction of the tires and the raised lettering is facing different directions. I didn't notice at first but I think it would look better if it was consistent.

I'm satisfied-ish with the TufSkinz ones. Best looking set that I could find, IMO. They're a hard, non-flexible, plastic with a rough matte texture on the outside and smooth glossy texture on the wheel well side. If they got snagged on a rock they would probably snap off, similar to how acrylic breaks. Installation was okay, the packaging leaves a residue on them and I had to use GooGone to clean them off. I also used some of my own hardware in spots that I didn't want to use their self tappers (into existing plastic clips). No issues though once they're on, very low profile.

    Looks great.

I have winter steel wheels on my 2018 Sport. I think they're a set of the spare rims and look very similar to yours. Just wondering if those center caps would fit?

    Thanks.

    Thanks!

I believe the center caps I went with specifically clip into the OEM 17" FJ wheel (or same style) from the front. See some reference pics below for how they clip in. If your steelies have the notches in the center opening, I can't see why they wouldn't fit. If you have the 16" Tacoma spare wheels (with the oval hole), I haven't seen anyone running these center caps with those.

Gotcha. Thanks. My rims have a different center. Round without the indents. Sucks that Toyota doesn't have a center fthat fits spare steel wheels that a lot of us use for winter rims.

I bought them from this seller directly, they had center caps for an extra $7.50 + free shipping. 4 new rims with caps to my door for like $320. Will post pics once I get tires and get them mounted.

Is there anything special with these I need to consider regarding lug nuts on these steelies? Any standard Tacoma "acorn style" will work? Or not?
    like these?

I went with spline drive style acorn nuts to avoid any clearance issues with my FJ center caps. I thought that a standard hex acorn nut may interfere when you're trying to loosen/tighten them with a socket (when you have the center caps on).

The first link you posted (20 pack) is the right size and style, should work as long as you don't have any clearance issues. The second link you posted (4 pack) is the right size but the wrong style, you need the matching acorn style.
